MANDARIN ORIENTAL, HONG KONG PRESENTS
LE FRENCH GOURMAY TO PIERRE AND CAFÉ CAUSETTE
HONG KONG, 13 April 2016 – To celebrate Le French GourMay, two-Michelin-starred restaurant, Pierre, and Café Causette at Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong will be offering special French menus that highlight ingredients from the Alsace region throughout the month of May 2016.
Legendary chef Pierre Gagnaire has created a three-course and a five-course tasting menu in Pierre. Designed to showcase the chef’s extraordinary creative talent, these menus will highlight seasonal ingredients from Alsace paired with wines from the region. Some of the highlighted dishes include Snails “timbale” from Mimine with bibeleskaes and crispy lard, Frogs mousseline from Haeberlin brothers with watercress soup, and “Schnackenerddle” of beef with green asparagus tips wrapped with almonds and orange. The menus will be available** throughout May and will cost HKD 1,588* for five courses and HKD 958* for three courses.
The hotel’s vibrant all-day-dining restaurant, Café Causette, will be offering dishes from the region as part of its dinner specials. French comfort foods such as Escargot à l’Alsacienne (snails cooked in Riesling), Flammekueche (traditional tarte flambée), Choucroute garni (sauerkraut, smoked pork shoulder and sausage with mustard and onions) and the famed Black Forest Gâteau. Dishes can be ordered individually available from HKD108* and HKD328*.
