Charity run Phuket

Sportive charity event “Run To Give”, organized by Phuket Marriott Resort and Spa and its sister properties in Phuket, gathered about 2,700 competitors on Sunday 23th September in Kathu, Phuket.

Run to Give consists in a series of events -each event is unique to its location- organized in the communities in which Marriott International properties operate. Runners took part in a 3.5km fun run, 10.5km mini-marathon and 21km half-marathon at Bang Wad Reservoir and Dam in Kathu, Phuket.

The aim of the event was to raise funds for charity with the perspective of reinforcing Marriott’s relations with local communities. Funds raised from the event will be donated to Maha Jakri Sirinthorn’s Children Project and the Pun Fhun Pun Yim Foundation, which support underprivileged local children.

“Run to Give is a fantastic event that underscores Marriott’s deep commitment to serving our local communities and giving back to society. We are delighted to be supporting Maha Jakri Sirinthorn’s Children Project and the Pun Fhun Pun Yim Foundation, which do such wonderful work in the community. We are committed to Marriott’s Take Care campaign, which aims to ensure the wellbeing of all our associates, and to driving positive sustainable benefits within the local community,” said David Ippersiel, General Manager, Phuket Marriott Resort and Spa, Nai Yang Beach.
